Gulf Coast Runners Race Policy

In order for Gulf Coast Runners to produce the quality races that our participants have come to expect, we need to enforce rules regarding race participation to ensure the process goes smoothly for all that are involved.

Day of race registration CLOSES 15 minutes prior to race start time.  In order for runners to be timed correctly their information needs to be entered into the GCR timing system prior to the start of the race. Late arrivals to the race will NOT BE TIMED officially.

All runners that participate in a race must be wearing a timing chip in order to be scored officially.  Please review information regarding our timing system that is available here. After the race the chip will be removed by GCR personnel.

Runners are responsible for making sure any hand written entries are filled out completely, correctly and legibly.  Incomplete, incorrect, or illegible entries are not guaranteed to be scored correctly. 

GCR race start times are based on GUN time, not when you cross the start line.

Most GCR races implement a tiered fee schedule.  You save yourself time, money and hassle by pre-registering for a race EARLY.  Typically only pre-registered runners are guaranteed a race shirt. Registering online through active.com is ALWAYS the preferred method.
